North American - International Society of Microbial Electrochemical Technologies

Tuesday & Wednesday, October 9-10, 2012

Cornell University

We look forward to seeing you at Cornell University for the NA-ISMET meeting. The meeting will be hosted by the Angenent Lab, and held at Cornell University from Monday evening, October 8th - Wednesday, October 10th, 2012.

The objective of the NA-ISMET meeting is to link together researchers and engineers, who work with microbial electrochemical systems or on the interface between microbes and solid electrode surfaces. In addition, the meeting will dissipate new ideas in the fast-emerging field of bioelectrochemical systems. It is a meeting where students and post-docs from North America can meet the leading researchers in the field and where they can present their work during podium or poster presentations.

At almost the same time, the EU-ISMET meeting is being organized in a concerted effort, while a Asian-Pacific ISMET meeting is in the planning stages. These meetings are not meant to replace the international MFC conference, but rather provide a regional forum. However, all researchers are welcome to attend the NA-ISMET meeting.

Information regarding registration times and locations, as well as additional conference information, will be available here as the date approaches.
