Deadline for abstract submission is June 1, 2012.
For podium presentations, preference will be given to North American post-docs and students. For poster presentations, no preference is given.
Submitted abstracts will be selected for oral or poster presentation if the oral / poster presentation option is selected, otherwise abstract submissions will automatically be placed in the poster presentation category.
Abstract Submission Guidelines:
Title: The title should clearly and succinctly identify the contents of the abstract. Capitalize the first letter of each word except prepositions, articles and species names. Italicize scientific names of organisms (e.g., Candida albicans).
Authors and Addresses: Provide the following information for each author: Last Name, First (Given) Name, and Middle Initial. Add an asterisk (*) after the name for the presenter. Information should be provided for each author's institution/affiliation. Do not include the department, division, branch, street address, etc. when completing the institution information. Enter the City, State and zip/postal code.
Abstract Text: The text of each abstract should consist of no more than 350 words. Do not include title and author information as part of the abstract body. The abstract text may be prepared in any standard word processing program. Insert sub or superscripts, boldface, italics, or other required symbols as necessary. Please do not submit tables or figures with the abstract submission. These abstracts will be used in a conference abstract booklet, but will not appear on the webpage.

- whether or not the presenter will be a graduate student
- the type of presentation desired (oral/poster or only poster)
- the title of the abstract
- the name and affiliation of all authors with an indication of the presenting author (if different from the primary author)
- the body of the abstract
